I am Ebony Unique, (formerly Pengel). I'm a CEO, ordained minister, Zumba instructor, trained improvisational actor, and proud mother of three amazing adult children. I thrive on variety and am always up for a new adventure, whether that’s tackling a tough puzzle, trying a new recipe, or taking the dance floor.

My passion for development, learning, and meaningful connection led me to create Unique Consults. What began as a mission to support nonprofit organizations has evolved into a broader commitment: helping individuals and teams grow, communicate with purpose, and create environments where people want to show up fully, authentically, and sustainably.

I know firsthand what it’s like to struggle in a work environment, feeling like there’s no outlet beyond a quick vent session with a co-worker. That’s why I’ve added professional coaching to my services—to be the resource I wish I had. I believe that personal and professional growth aren’t separate—they’re connected. And sometimes, we all just need a little help navigating the in-between.

At the core of everything I do is a deep belief in community, collaboration, and the power of relationships. I’m convinced that thriving organizations and fulfilled lives are built on compassion, clarity, and consistent care—for ourselves and each other.

When I’m not working, you’ll find me spending time with my family, dancing, journaling, exploring new places, or grounding myself in practices like therapy, massages, meditation, laughter, and daily gratitude. I know you can’t pour from an empty cup—so I stay intentional about keeping mine full.
